Students in Design Systems worked with the Design team from Case Logic, a Boulder-based company that designs and manufactures backpacks and bags for laptops, media storage, and a broad variety of photo and accessory bags.
Students researched, designed, and prototyped complete systems of products and branding, to propose new business opportunities for the company. Final solutions were presented to executives from the company.
Chris Nguyen proposed this solution to update the current aging brand solution for a more youthful audience. Chris’ solution is an integrated approach addressing for identity, messaging and media, and the company’s current product line.
Seth Gerard researched Geek culture, to create the ideal g33kbag. Gerard developed and prototyped a product, and created branding and messaging for this product line to appeal to the inner geek in all of us.
Derrick Usher researched fishing culture and proposed the development of a new product line to be created under a sub-brand. Usher created a set of branding, advertising, and products that could be sold in Case Logic’s existing retail partners under the new brand name Ramshorn.
Brian Lesniewski researched urban female commuters and designed and prototyped a product tailored to meet the multifaceted needs of this particular subculture. Lesniewski developed branding and advertising for the product line and proposed strategies to integrate this product offering into Case Logic’s existing product line.
